Amerige Park opened in 1934 and still in use. The original wooden bleachers have been demolished. Amerige park was rebuilt in 1989. The park has a name of Duane Winters Field.

I grew up in Fullerton, went to Fullerton High School and played many games at Amerige Park. You may ask why would I put this park on my site. Well, Amerige park was the site of spring training for the PCL. Teams like the Hollywood Stars, the Los Angeles Angels (PCL team), Portland Rainiers, Sacramento Solons, San Diego Padres (PCL) and the Dallas-Fort Worth Rangers trained here. Hall of famers Joe DIMaggio, Satchel Page, Arky Vaughn and Walter Johnson all played here. Both Arky Vaughn and Walter Johnson went to Fullerton High School...as did Richard Nixon... well 2 out of 3 ain't bad....

Before the park was built, it was the original site of Fullerton High School. FUHS was built in 1912 at the corner of Chapman Ave. and Lemon Street. The orange seats are reclaimed seats from Anaheim Stadium.
