MANY thanks to B.U. communications and especially Brian Kelley for his help in access to Agganis arena and Brown arena. 8/13

Agganis Arena - Opened in 2005 and still in use. Built on the exact site of the old Commonwealth Armory on the campus of Boston University. Just steps east of Nickerson Field. The arena is part of the John Hancock Student Village at BU. Home to BU hockey and basketball. Also home to smaller concerts. Agganis Arena was named for Harry Agganis, a star football and baseball player at Boston University. He played briefly for the Boston Red Sox. While playing for the Red Sox, Agganis passed away from a massive pulmonary embolism at the age of 26. Harry Agganis was known in Boston as the "Golden Greek."

Location - 925 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, Massachusetts.
