Ballparks, Arenas and Stadiums > Busch Stadium II Pt.2 (demolished) - St. Louis, Missouri
Music - Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin

Photographed in 2004 and 2005 using film.

Known as Civic Center Busch Memorial Stadium 1966 - 1981, Busch Stadium 1982 - 2005. Demolished after the 2005 season to make way for the new Busch Stadium III, which was built directly to the south of old Busch Stadium II.

Busch Stadium yo yo'd with turf 3 times..starting with natural grass from its opening till 1969, then the god awful astroturf for 25 years and then back to natural grass from 1996 till the park closed for good in 2005.

The St. Louis baseball Cardinals of course were the main tenant, while the football Cardinals played there from 1966 till 1987. The football Cardinals then left for Phoenix. The NFL Rams played here in 1995 while the then TWA dome was being finished.

Location - 250 Civic Center Plaza St. Louis, Missouri
