Music - The thunder rolls by Garth Brooks

I photographed the stadium in 1989, 1994 and 2004 and shot with film. When I took the photos in March of 2004, the stadium was pretty much abandoned. All other photos are from the internet and date unknown. Photos WITHOUT my watermark will NOT be sold.

All Sports Stadium - Opened in 1961, closed in 1997 and demolished in 2005. The stadium was abandoned for 8 years before finally being torn down. The stadium was home to AAA baseball from 1962-1997. The first affiliate was the Houston Colt .45s / Astros from 1962-1972. The Cleveland Indians had their AAA team there from 1973-1975, followed by the Philadelphia Phillies from 1976-1982. The final tenant was the Texas Rangers from 1983 thru 1997. The 89ers moved to the new Bricktown Ballpark in downtown Oklahoma City for the 1998 season. The team was renamed the RedHawks for the 1998 season. The Texas Rangers continued to have their AAA team there thru the 2010 season. The Houston Astros took over in 2011 and are still there to this day.

Location - NW Eighty Niner Drive (3B), Gordon Cooper Blvd. (RF) and Red Man's Path (1B). The stadium was located on the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma CIty, Oklahoma. Site is now a parking lot.
