Braves Field (the wigwam) - Opened in 1915 and partially demolished in 1955. Site is now Nickerson field on the campus of Boston University. The only original pieces of Braves Field that still stand are the first base box area, and underneath the stands, the wall behind what was the home plate area and the buildings on Agganis Way. Which now house the Boston University police station. These were the one time offices of the Boston Braves.

Known as Braves Field 1915 - 1935, The Bee Hive 1936 - 1941, Braves Field 1942 - 1952, Boston University Field 1953 - 1955, Nickerson Field 1955 - present.

Location - Commonwealth Ave., Gaffney Street (now Harry Agganis Way) and Babcock Street Boston, Massachusetts.

This is the first base section that still stands. In the background is the old Commonwealth armory at Boston University. It was torn down in the sumemr of 2002. The new Agganis Arena and student center now sits on the site. 5/95
