Hoover Metropolitan Stadium - Opened in 1988 in Hoover, Alabama which is a southern suburb of Birmingham. Originally called Hoover Metropolitan Stadium 1988 - 2007. The "Met" has been home to the Birmingham Barons of the Southern League since the park opened. The park replaced historic Rickwood Field (which is still standing and still used) as the home for the Barons.

The Barons left Hoover at the end of the 2012 season for Regions Park in downtown Birmingham. Just about 3 miles east of Rickwood field.

Hoover High school now uses the stadium for football. As well as baseball tournaments.

The University of Alabama baseball team played at Hoover for the 2015 season, while their ballpark on campus, Thomas-Sewell stadium, was being remodeled.
