Tulane Stadium - Opened in 1926, closed and condemned in 1975, finally demolished in 1980. An athletic field and student housing sits on the site.

Location - Ben Weiner Drive and Willow Street on the campus of Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Tulane is building a new Tulane Stadium on campus. The new facility is being built just north of where the original Tulane Stadium was. The new venue is scheduled to open in 2014.

Tulane Stadium was the first stadium that hosted a Super Bowl to be torn down. The other two were Tampa Stadium and the Orange Bowl in Miami. Technically Stanford Stadium was demolished too, but rebuilt on the same site.
