Old Alex Box Stadium opened in 1938, closed in 2008 and finally demolished in 2010. The site is now a parking lot, just to the west of Tiger Stadium on the campus of Louisiana State University.

Known as the LSU diamond or LSU Varsity Baseball Field from 1938 - 1943. The stadium was named for Simeon Alex Box, a former LSU baseball player who was killed in WWII in 1942.

Old Alex Box Stadium served LSU baseball for 70 years. In 2009, LSU baseball moved into the New Alex Box Stadium. The new stadium is about 200 yards directly south of where the old stadium once stood.

The stadium was also where the New York Giants held their spring training for two years, beginning in 1938.

Old Alex Box Stadium was located on the northwest corner of E. Highway 30 and Skip Bertman Drive.
