The NEW DBAP was open for business on April 6, 1995. It has a capacity of 10,000 with luxury boxes and all the other bells and whistles. The left field fence at the DBAP is 32 feet high and is dubbed "the blue monster" after the Green Monster in Fenway. The Durham Bull sign (hit bull win steak) sits atop the blue monster. The Durham Bulls started out in the Carolina league, but in 1999, the Tampa Bay Rays made the Durham Bulls their AAA team.
