First Tennessee Park opened in April of 2015 and is the home to the Nashville Sounds of the Pacific Coast League. The park replaced old Greer Stadium as home to the Sounds. Greer Stadium still stands south of downtown Nashville, but is slated for demolition.

The park was built on the site of Nashville's longtime ballpark the Sulpher Dell. The Dell was notorious for having home plate facing west and during day games, the sun played havoc with the batters eyes. Nashville left the Dell after the 1963 season. The park was used by amateur baseball, then a speedway and finally an impound yard for cars. The Dell met the wrecking ball in 1969.
